Dungeons? Yes!How to play
> Answer 10 questions with yes/no answers that lead to the end.> This is a simple multiple-choice game... with added death.> To play, you simply explore the dungeon answering questions on the way, then rolling a D6 (six sided die) for the event.> If for some reason you are told to do a roll for something every turn, simply write that reason down and the number needed so you don’t forget.> If you don’t roll the negative affect and it doesn’t say what happens - well good news, you survived! Move on to the next question! If it says you die - then that is game over.
Do you enter the dungeon?
Yes
Your adventure begins! Oh, how you’ve dreamed of this!Your father said, “Just join the family business! It’s not all it’s cracked up to be!” HA! Yeah right old man!Your eyes take a few moments to adjust to the darkness.Roll a D6. On a 1 you trip down the stairs and die.>> still alive? <<

It’s dark... it smells... it has creepy noises... I’ll pass. You go home and tell your father he was right.Every now and then an adventurer passes by on their way to the dungeon. Oh how you brag about ALMOST being one, but you’re not... and now you never will be.Roll a D6. On anything rolled you die for being boring - great job!>> back to the start! <<
After entering the dungeon you notice lights flickering at the sides.Grab one to help you find the way?
Yes
You pick up the flaming stick of flames.Roll a D6. On a 1 or 2, you are engulfed by flames, pass
out from the lack of oxygen and die.You forgot that you were covered in very flammable alcohol from last night’s hootenanny.>> still alive? <<
>> dead? back to the start! <<
No
You pull back from the light and carry on.From now on, after every question Roll a D6. On a 1 you trip down some stairs and die.Should have just grabbed the light, it’s not like you’ll magically set ablaze!>> continue <<
You walk down the corridor. Squinting, you see one left passage and one right. Before you can even think of picking one, you hear a strange moaning from the left. It sounds in pain.Do you go left?
Yes
You peer your head around the corner, darting your eyes around the room. Damp and dark, you notice a sheet on the floor, filthy and worn. Something jumps out at you!Roll a D6. On a 1 or 2 you get the sheet thrown over you and stabbed multiple times in the stomach and legs.If you pass the roll, you quickly dispense of the creature. It smells and has nothing but a rusty dagger! Looking at the room, you notice that it’s full of what you assume is the creature’s nest. It smells and you decide to head back into the passageway and go right instead.>> still alive? <<
>> dead? back to the start! <<
No
You go right. Moaning things normally means injured - or horny - and you don’t have time for that! You’re going to defeat this dungeon! Or more likely die trying.Roll a D6. On a 1, a sheet flies towards you from behind, screaming in a pitch so vile you thought it must be a ghost! You die from shock. The deeper you delve... You find yourself going down some spiral stairs. This continues for what feels like an hour. You proceed slowly down as the stone stairs grow more and more slippery. You notice the walls becoming more moist and the air becoming humid. When you reach the bottom you take the final step – splash! - your foot enters water, coming up to your knee.>> still alive? <<
>> dead? back to the start! <<
A wooden door is in front of you. You hear running water behind the door - no going back now. You open the door! Water comes rushing in. You scurry for something to hold onto.Continue holding on and wait for the water to die down?
Yes
You take a deep breath and prepare yourself. Holding on for dear life, you start to wonder how far the water will rise before it starts to disperse between the many holes and cracks.Roll a D6. On a 1 or 2 your fear of drowning forces you to attempt to escape the water. Letting go, you find yourself being thrown around like a spider in a sink. You smash your head against a wall and die.>> still alive? <<

No
You allow the current to take you. Letting go, you find yourself being thrown around like a spider in a sink. You smash your head against a wall and die.>> back to the start! <<
The water subsides and eventually you can continue through the door. Wiping the water from your brow, you walk through the door and see a huge underground river. The currents from the river are wild and constantly throw water into your direction. You make your way up and find a narrow walkway. You look around and see the torches being hit and submerged by the water but not going out - a strange sight indeed, but that light showed the only route to take.
The walkway is wet and full of black, sharp rocks. As you reach the other side you notice the water is calmer, but you also notice a shadow in the water...Throw a rock at the shadow?
Yes
You throw a rock into the river. With that, a piercing silence that lasts only a few seconds but, in those seconds, you feel fear creep up your back. Boom! Water explodes from the river. As you find yourself wiping the water from your eyes, you can only make out a large blurry figure - some sort of large serpent? As you regain your sight, you see the creature clearly. Dark blues and greens cover the creature with parts shimmering from the dim lights of the torches. The creature’s pose seems almost confident as it towers over you. Its eyes are many different reds crashing into each other, more beautiful than anything you have ever seen. You realise the creature is staring directly into your eyes.Roll a D6. On a 1, 2 or 3 you blink and in that instant, you are no more.If you succeed in meeting its gaze, the creature moves towards you and hisses. The hiss grows and echoes, constantly changing until it sounds like your tongue. “The bold shall be granted my luck.” The creature delves back into the river, and you scurry past. You may re-roll once any D6.>> still alive? <<
>> dead? back to the start! <<

>> dead? back to the start! <<
As you reach the other side you find another staircase. You slowly proceed as you did before. You reach another hallway much like the first hallway. As you walk down you notice a left and a right again. Strange, but a coincidence? You hear a strange noise but also...familiar. A moaning from the left.Do you go left?
Yes
You go left and draw your sword. As you enter the room you see a standing figure cutting something... someone! And that someone was hanging by their wrists. You charge the creature, raising your sword, clenching your hands ready for the impact!Roll a D6. On a 1, 2 or 3 the creature turns faster than you charge, lunging its hand forward into your chest and you die.If you succeed, the creature’s head is split in half and falls to the floor. You go to cut down the hanging person when they say, “It’s too late for me... my pocket...please take it.” The person’s eyes close and a final breath leaves them. You find a small ring and put it on.Once you die you may activate this ring and it will take you back to this moment (but then you lose the ring.)>> still alive? <<

You head back out to the hallway and take the right.Again, more stairs. Down and down you go into the depths of the dungeon.Oh, how far you’ve come. How long have you been down here? You have grown quite hungry. On your way down you come across a little jelly
creature about the size of a rat.Eat the jelly?
Yes
You eat the jelly and find yourself satisfied, full even... but then your belly rumbles and a pain grows.Roll a D6. On a 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 you find yourself retching and clawing at your belly. The pain becomes unbearable. It moves from your belly all the way slowly to your feet and up towards your head. As it reaches your chest you feel something moving through your throat and into your mouth. Unable to breathe you collapse into a ball and die.The Jelly comes out your mouth and goes about its day.>> still alive? <<
>> dead? back to the start! <<

You’ve always been told not to eat food off the floor and a weird living jelly should probably be left alone. Your belly grumbles but you’re not at the stage where eating this could possibly be considered a wise choice.>> continue <<
